The year 2025 marks the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Vietnam, as well as the China-Vietnam Year of People-to-People Exchanges. At the invitation of General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee To Lam and President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam Luong Cuong, General Secretary of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and President Xi Jinping paid a state visit to Vietnam from April 14 to 15. On the occasion, he published a signed article in the Nhan Dan Newspaper of Vietnam, titled "Building on past achievements and making new advances in pursuit of shared goals." In the article, Xi said China and Vietnam should take the China-Vietnam Year of People-to-People Exchanges as an opportunity to "carry out more activities that will bring our two peoples together such as the friendly meeting between youths" and to "tell stories of friendship that resonate with our two peoples, so as to pass on the baton of China-Vietnam friendship from generation to generation."

Amid this vibrant season of growth and renewal, the spring breeze seems imbued with a special purpose, bearing witness to a series of profoundly significant exchanges unfolding between the two nations.

On April 10, just ahead of Xi's state visit, an event themed "Dialogue in the New Era: China-Vietnam Exchange for Young Media Professionals" was held in Hanoi, Vietnam, with a parallel session held simultaneously in Nanning, south China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. The forum, guided by China's State Council Information Office, was jointly organized by the information office of Guangxi, the China Intercontinental Communication Center, and Vietnam's state-run broadcaster the Voice of Vietnam (VOV).

More than 500 young representatives from media outlets, universities, and enterprises in both countries participated in the event, composing a vibrant symphony of friendship and cooperation that resonated with the spirit of a new generation.
