Opening Remarks: National brands serve not only as a vehicle of culture and symbol of innovation but also as representations of the country's industrial strength. In today's era where the influence of Chinese national brands continues to grow steadily, telling well brand stories holds significant value in advancing the vision of building a nation of strong brands. Starting with this issue, China News Release will launch the "Prime China" column, aiming to tell brand stories that embody dreams and innovation from a perspective closely tied to daily life. It seeks to highlight the craftsmanship and strength of Chinese national brands, displaying their charms and conveying their value.

Chinese culture boasts a long and illustrious history, rich in splendor and brilliance. Continued efforts should be made to carry on China's cultural tradition through creative transformation and innovative development, said President Xi Jinping as he presided over a group study session of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee on October 28, 2024. Stressing the need to leverage the cultural subjectivity of the Chinese nation, he underlined the necessity to conserve, promote, and develop the treasures of Chinese culture that have survived the historical vicissitudes.

China's intangible cultural heritage — its techniques, products and diverse cultural expressions — has long been a powerful emblem of its culture. Along the Belt and Road, these traditions have crossed mountains and seas, sharing beautiful Chinese stories with the peoples of the world. They convey the Chinese people's wish for harmony and peace, share the life wisdom of diligence, courage and romance of the Chinese nation, and narrate the enduring vitality of the nation, a story that continues to this day.
