On September 12, 2024, the CPRA Forum on Public Relations and High-Standard Opening-Up, organized by the China Public Relations Association (CPRA), was held in Beijing, where experts and scholars engaged in in-depth discussions and exchanges on the role of public relations with Chinese characteristics in the new era.
Guo Weimin, president of the CPRA, stated at the forum that public relations is a crucial part of the national governance system. It can facilitate communication, coordinate relationships among all parties, shape image and brand, promote win-win cooperation, and play a significant role in advancing China's high-standard opening-up.
How can public relations help achieve high-standard opening-up?
During the keynote speeches, Lu Mai, former vice chairman of the China Development Research Foundation, Yan Xiaohong, chairman of the Copyright Society of China, and Pan Qingzhong, vice president of the CPRA and executive vice dean of the Schwarzman Scholars at Tsinghua University, shared their insights on the topic of "Public Relations Helps High-Standard Opening-Up." In their view, equality, enhanced communication, solidarity and cooperation are key methods that help achieve high-standard opening-up.
