The Third Plenary Session of the 20th Communist Party of China Central Committee emphasized that opening-up is a distinctive hallmark of Chinese modernization. We must remain committed to the basic national policy of opening-up, promote reform through opening-up, leverage China's vast market, enhance the capacity of opening-up in expanding international cooperation, and build a new open economic system at a higher level. The plenary session outlined plans to improve the framework and mechanisms for high-standard opening-up, sending a clear signal of expanding high-standard opening-up.
Our world today is evolving through accelerating changes unseen in a century, with the international environment becoming increasingly complex; China has embarked on a new journey toward building a modern socialist country in all aspects, with challenges concerning domestic reform, development and stability. Practices have shown that opening-up brings and that promoting high-standard opening-up is an essential requirement for building a new development pattern, advancing high-quality development, and propelling Chinese modernization.
The China International Fair for Trade in Services is a vital platform for China to expand its opening-up, deepen cooperation and lead innovation. It also serves as a broad stage to showcase the cutting-edge trends of trade in services and international cooperation outcomes, contributing positively to promoting China's high-standard opening-up, which includes not only economic and technical exchanges but also the spread of culture and values. On this new journey, advancing high-standard opening-up requires mobilizing resources from various sectors, with public relations playing a pivotal role as a bridge that connects different stakeholders and promotes communication and understanding.
