Christine Cayol

Yishu 8, founded by French philosopher and writer Christine Cayol, is an art platform that offers residency programs to French artists to live in Beijing for immersion and inspiration and to Chinese artists to have the same experience in Paris.

As 2024 marks the 60th anniversary of diplomatic ties between China and France, Yishu 8 recently hosted an exhibition of its prize laureates, titled "Histoire d'Yishu 8 Residence d'Artistes Franco-Chinoise" (History of Yishu 8 French-Chinese Artist Residency), to celebrate the occasion. The exhibition was held in collaboration with the China International Exhibition Agency at the National Art Museum of China in Beijing from April 20 to 28.
