More than 6,000 live-streaming sessions, over 1 billion yuan (around 138 million U.S. dollars) of cumulative sales of agricultural products, and over 2 billion of views — these are the fruitful results of the "China Youth Cultivation" live-streaming promotion campaign to assist farmers launched by the Communist Youth League of China (CYLC).

How to help farmers sell agricultural products in order to increase their income has always been a concern for the Chinese government. After the rise of live-streaming e-commerce in China, the CYLC has since been considering how to make use of it to help farmers with sales.

In October 2021, the CYLC launched the "China Youth Cultivation" live-streaming promotion campaign. The event was organized by China Youth Daily. Concentrating on topics like green development, the development of former revolutionary areas, ethnic unity, rural culture and tourism, the Chinese farmers' harvest festival, and targeted assistance, the campaign has organized activities themed with the four seasons and comprehensively promoted rural revitalization with new forms, diverse categories, and a prominent interactive effect.
