博鳌近零碳示范区运行启动
A demonstration zone focusing on almost zero emissions began operations on March 18, 2024, in Boao, south China's Hainan Province. A launching ceremony was held in Boao's Dongyu Island for the Boao near-zero carbon demonstration zone, a project jointly built by the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development and the Hainan provincial government. The demonstration zone has completed a total of 18 projects in eight categories. By incorporating emission reduction technologies and taking various innovative practices and measures, it is able to achieve balance between new energy power generation and consumption.
3月18日，博鳌近零碳示范区运行启动会在海南省琼海市博鳌镇东屿岛举行，标志着这个由住建部和海南省政府共建的达到国际先进水平的示范区进入了近零碳运行阶段。博鳌近零碳示范区通过不断探索，实现了8大类建设项目多系统无缝衔接，并将诸多系统集中整合到近零碳运行管理系统，实现智慧化运行和管理，并最终实现区域层面的近零碳。

The third International Forum on Democracy: The Shared Human Values was held on March 20 in Beijing. Over 200 guests from various countries, regions and international organizations engaged in discussions on topics including "Democracy and Modern Governance," "Democracy and the Rule of Law in the Digital Times," "Artificial Intelligence (AI) and the Future of Democracy" and "Democracy and Global Governance in a Multipolar World." They agreed that democracy is a significant sign of the progress of human civilization, and is what the Communist Party of China and the Chinese people have consistently been pursuing. After long exploration, China has carved out a democratic development path with Chinese characteristics, which has safeguarded the democratic rights of over 1.4 billion Chinese people, and provided strong support for advancing the rejuvenation of the Chinese nation on all fronts through a Chinese path to modernization, according to the guests.
