The concept of "Hidden Champion" was coined by Hermann Simon, a renowned German management scholar and the honorary chairman of the Association of German Hidden Champions. It refers to small and medium-sized enterprises that may not be well known by the public but are global leaders in a certain segment or industry.

From November 28 to December 2, 2023, the China International Supply Chain Expo (CISCE), the first of its kind in the world devoted to promoting industrial and supply chain collaboration, was held in Beijing.
