On the occasion of the 65th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Republic of Iraq and the People's Republic of China, I would like to extend my congratulations to the friendly Chinese government and people and my best wishes for their greater progress and prosperity.

Iraq and China enjoy a long history of friendship. Both of them are ancient, long-lasting civilizations that have contributed greatly to human development.

First, I would like to point out that since the establishment in 1958, the diplomatic relations between the two nations have always been maintained at all levels. The past 65 years have seen tremendous progress in their bilateral relations on the basis of mutual respect and win-win outcomes. At the same time, they have reaped fruitful results from collaboration in the areas of politics, economy, culture, education and health.
