On June 29, 2023, Changshou District of southwest China's Chongqing Municipality held a signing ceremony for nine key projects with a total investment of 15.95 billion yuan (about 2.22 billion U.S. dollars), involving industries including new energy and new materials, equipment manufacturing, medical science and technology, and characteristic agriculture.
This is another move made by Changshou District in its pursuit of high-quality development following national strategies.
These projects, which feature large-volume investment, advanced technology, flagship status and promising prospects, are expected to contribute to Changshou's goals of building a global highland for new materials industry, a world-class sports and health tourism destination and the China Changshou Life Sciences City (also known as the "2+1" goals). With a considerable bearing on the district's key industrial chain, they will become part of a modern, high-quality manufacturing cluster Chongqing strives to build.
