"Village Super League (VSL)," an amateur football tournament which has been dubbed "Cun Chao" by Chinese netizens, is being held in Rongjiang County, southwest China's Guizhou Province. Organized and played by locals, its festive atmosphere and colorful ethnic culture captured the attention of media and social platforms. On Weibo, China's Twitter-like social media platform, the hashtags and topics related to the VSL have garnered over 200 million views, and several videos of the league have received millions of likes on the short video platform Douyin. The event attracted more than 420,000 tourists in just one month during the competition, and in May the county welcomed more than 1 million tourists, an increase of 39.73% year on year, to realize tourism income of 1.24 billion yuan, which surged 52.08% from last year, according to the local government.

“村超”全名为贵州榕江（三宝侗寨）和美乡村足球超级联赛。这项比赛由群众主创、参赛者以村民为主，自开赛以来，因其接地气的办赛风格、丰富多彩的民族文化和热烈的现场氛围，迅速火爆网络。在中国社交媒体平台微博上，与“村超”相关的标签和话题获得了超过2亿的浏览量，比赛的多个视频在短视频平台抖音上获得了数百万的点赞。据榕江县政府统计,“村超”举办的一个月时间内吸引游客42万余人次。今年5月，榕江县接待游客107.37万人次，同比增长39.73%，实现旅游综合收入12.41亿元，同比增长52.08%。
