Kyrgyzstan's Bishkek–Osh Highway built by the China Railway No. 5 Engineering Group (CR5).
Actively embracing the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) and in the Silk Road spirit of "peace and cooperation, openness and inclusiveness, mutual learning and benefit," the China Railway No. 5 Engineering Group (CR5) has, in the past decade, undertaken quite so many infrastructure projects in countries along the route. In doing so, they further deepened the people-to-people exchanges between China and the countries concerned and helped propel the BRI onto a road of peace, prosperity, openness, sustainability, innovation and civilization.

Following in the footsteps of Zhang Qian who served as an envoy to the Western Regions during the Han Dynasty (206 BCE–220 CE), the CR5 undertook various traffic projects in Central and West Asia along the Silk Road Economic Belt. These projects increased mobility across the countries and made Asian-European exchanges easier.
