In April 2015, the China Intercontinental Press (CIP) translated and published my husband's novel Biluo Snow Mountain. It was the first time his novel had been translated and published in a foreign language, and we were overjoyed.

Biluo Snow Mountain is about the everyday life of the Lisu people, an ethnic minority living by the Nujiang River, Yunnan Province, focusing on how they maintain an interdependent relationship with their totem — black bear. Mexican translator Tatiana Svakhina spent three years translating the book into Spanish, given the difficulty it involved. First released by the literary journal of Zhongshan, the book was published by the Beijing October Literature and Art Publishing House in October 2009. Shortly afterward, it was collected by the Library of Congress of the United States. In 2009, the screenplay adapted by my husband was filmed by the Guangxi Film Group. The film ended up winning more than 20 awards at home and abroad, including the Golden Goblet Award at the 13th Shanghai International Film Festival.
