China's Major Economic Indicators Register a Stable Recovery

On October 24, 2022, the National Bureau of Statistics released the preliminary accounting results of China's gross domestic product (GDP) for the third quarter of 2022. Generally, the Chinese economy has overcome negative impacts inflicted by unexpected factors, with major indicators showing solid rebound and positive signs of stabilization.

87.03 trln yuan, 3%

China's GDP in the first three quarters reached 87.03 trillion yuan, up 3% year on year at constant price, or 0.5 percentage point higher than that in the first half of 2022.

42.14 trln yuan, 5.9%

In the first three quarters, the investment in fixed assets (excluding rural households) reached 42.14 trillion yuan, up 5.9% year on year.

175.53 mln

In the first three quarters, the total output of summer grain and early rice reached 175.53 million tonnes, an increase of 1.55 million tonnes, or 0.9%, compared with the same period of the previous year.
