Youth of China in the New Era
The year 2022 marks the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Youth League of China (CYLC). On April 21, Youth of China in the New Era, the first white paper on youth in the history of the People's Republic of China, was published. The white paper reviews the course of Chinese youth's continuous struggle for national rejuvenation under the leadership of the Communist Party of China (CPC) in the past 100 years. Meanwhile, it introduces the concern and attention to youth development paid by the CPC Central Committee with Xi Jinping at the core since the 18th National Congress of the CPC in 2012, presents China's policies and measures to promote youth development, shows the development achievements and cultural outlook of Chinese youths in the new era, and launches an initiative to youths all over the world, calling on Chinese youths to join hands with youths in other countries to jointly build a global community of shared future and a better world.

In 2021, the completion rate of compulsory education in China reached 95.4%, the gross enrollment rate in senior secondary education reached 91.4%, and the gross enrollment rate in higher education reached 57.8%, with 44.3 million students on campus, ranking first in the world.
