Since publication, Xi Jinping: The Governance of China (Volumes I, II and III) have continued to sell well around the globe and generated strong reactions. Recently, former Egyptian Prime Minister Essam Sharaf was interviewed by China News Release to share his experience of reading these books.

CHINA NEWS RELEASE: Since September 2014, the first, second and third volumes of the Arabic edition of Xi Jinping: The Governance of China have been published and distributed worldwide. What is your overall impression of the books?

ESSAM SHARAF: President Xi is a wise man and a philosopher. He is a talented leader with strong leadership skills and a deep human touch; he is also an experienced politician with the ability to lead a large country like China in addressing current global challenges. These books have given me a glimpse of President Xi's rational thinking and vision in governing the country, and have been very helpful in enhancing my knowledge and understanding of China's development philosophy, development path, and internal and external policies, as well as in understanding the essence, richness and main content of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era.
