On February 11, Thomas Bach, president of the International Olympic Committee (IOC), toured the Beijing Yanqing Winter Olympic Village. He visited the Winter Olympics Culture Square, the Olympic Truce Mural, the Great Ice Wall, the statue of the Olympic Goddess, the Chinese Culture Exhibition Area, the Traditional Chinese Medicine Exhibition Area and franchised stores, etc. and expressed his appreciation and gratitude to Cheng Hong, chief of the Yanqing Winter Olympic Village. "All the athletes I met on the way were satisfied with the accommodations, food and services here. I'm quite happy hearing that. And all the volunteers are very excellent, their warm smiles show their sense of pride. It's a great achievement."
Cheng Hong, a member of the Standing Committee of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), vice president of the All-China Women's Federation (ACWF), vice-chairwoman of the CPPCC Beijing Committee, and chief of the Yanqing Winter Olympic (and Paralympic) Village, accepted an interview with the reporter from China News Release a few days ago.
Yanqing Winter Olympic Village has received many guests from all over the world with sincere hospitality and professional service since it was opened on January 23. Cheng Hong told our reporter that the Village received many "comments" from athletes from various countries recently:

Huge Olympic Rings logo, ice sculptures of Badaling Great Wall, lovely "Bing Dwen Dwen" and "Shuey Rhon Rhon," traditional Chinese medicine exhibition, cloisonné objects, festive Chinese knots and hexagonal Chinese palace lanterns... Yanqing Winter Olympic Village is full of prominent cultural atmosphere. Athletes from various countries take photos excitedly to record their lovely moments at the Beijing Winter Olympics.
