Improving the quality and efficiency of security checks is a solemn commitment by the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) to the people, and is an important part of CAAC's philosophy of implementing people-oriented and smart services. On Dec. 3, 2021, CAAC held a series of press conferences on "Doing Practical Things for the People" to introduce the "Smart Security Check" service. This is a safer, more convenient and more comfortable security check mode supported by information and technology, featuring accurate inspections, less intervention, simple process, fast speed and new experience, which has changed the traditional one-size-fits-all security checks and passive acceptance by passengers. Thus, passengers can actively participate and choose in both directions. During the test run, passengers gave full recognition to the "Smart Security Check" service, generally gave feedback about the fast inspection speed, excellent service experience, and good security effect. It is estimated that the efficiency of the security checks can be increased by 30%, and the time for passengers to go through the check can be cut in half.
